Validating POLCOMS with Ferrybox data
Ferrybox data is used for validating the POLCOMS models. Ferrybox is an automated sampling device which measures several water quality parameters including temperature, turbidity, chlorophyll and salinity. The sampling equipment is attached to the Norfolkline ferry, Liverpool Viking, which travels from Liverpool to Dublin (occasionally the ferry travels from Liverpool to Belfast).
